IDI’s Industrial Supplies Catalogue Hits the Street

The second edition of the IDI Industrial Supplies catalogue is now available through participating IDI members. With 1,900 pages and over 100,000 items, broken down into 10 product categories, this catalogue has set a new standard as a resource tool within Canada’s industrial products industry. This catalogue features products from IDI’s 5 key product verticals: Industrial Supplies, Bearing & Power Transmission Products, Safety Supplies, Fluid Power Products and Janitorial Supplies.

IDI Hall of Fame Inductees

During IDI’s annual Vendor Appreciation Dinner IDI launched its Hall of Fame by inducting the first six honorees. Each of these inductees have played a significant role in the creating, building, growth and success of IDI. The inductees were:

IDIMART 2007

This year’s was another big hit with IDI’s members and suppliers. With a streamlined supplier base, the addition of the IDI casino night and increased member participation, this year’s show offered members and suppliers greater opportunities.

Winning the idimart PokerRun, with a full house Queens over Threes, was Silvano Toffolon of Levac Supply. He took home a Birks watch. Other winners included, 2^nd place Thomas Hubinger – Charles Jones, 3^rd place Brian Boucher – Hansler Smith, 4^th place Jon Varey – Varco Industrial and 5^th place Andrew Faria – Reliable Bearings. Supplier Summit

IDI’s inaugural IDI Supplier Summit delivered on every expectation - and then some. Held at the Delta President Kennedy in Montréal on September 28^th and 29^th 2006, over 40 IDI members and 40 IDI Platinum, Gold and Silver suppliers met for this brand new initiative. The event was designed to encourage high-level discussion among the two groups. It consisted of short, yet concise, 20-minute meetings held behind closed doors. The consensus from all who attended this first IDI Supplier Summit was that it was a great event that strengthened relationships and opened new doors.
