IDI has a dynamic program for national accounts/integrated supply/commodity management/multi plant contracts. We now pursue and participate fully in these markets and plan to continue to expand in this vital area into the future.

IDI is perfectly positioned to participate. We have 100+ member companies with 200+ locations coast to coast across Canada. We also represent 2,300+ vendors and have over $100 million+ in locally placed inventories. Our members specialize in several major product groups including bearings, fluid power products, industrial supplies, janitorial supplies, power transmission products and safety supplies.

Customers can now realize all the benefits of dealing with a coast to coast distributor operation while at the same time maintaining all of the advantages of partnering with individual entrepreneurs who are sleeves-up involved in the day to day operation of their businesses – an unbeatable combination.

Our Director of National Accounts and e-Commerce is charged with the responsibility of moving this program forward successfully. We obtained our first significant multi-plant contract early in 2001 and added other significant contracts in 2002 & 2003 including our first multi-country contract. We expect this program to grow dramatically throughout the rest of this decade.

In the past many IDI members have participated in such programs individually and will continue to do so. We now have the additional option of doing it as a group on a provincial, national or international basis.
